A complaint of domestic violence has been registered in District Police Office by 25-year-old Manjukumari Mandal against her 44-year-old mother-in-law Bachiyadevi Mandal, 45-year-old father-in-law Shambhu Mandal, his brother 60-year-old Bindeshwor Mandal, his wife 55-year-old Paniyadevi Mandal, and her 24-year-old sister-in-law Rubidevi Mandal on June 6. Manjukumari filed a complaint saying that she suffered miscarriage due to the beating of her family members.
The victim, who came to the District Police Office with her husband Surendra Mandal, said that the accused beat her on June 2 which led to the miscarriage of her 2-month pregnancy.
Though the injured victim was rescued by the villagers, she has been claiming that the miscarriage happened due to the beating and she is demanding action against the accused.
Surendra, who returned home after the incident, said that he came to the police demanding action after knowing that his wife suffered miscarriage due to the beating.
According to the District Police Office, the victim was sent to Gajendranarayan Singh Hospital situated at Rajbiraj for a health check-up on 2nd June.
